Continuing Education
We provide accredited Continuing Education Hours for Yogis, Social Workers, and Therapists.
YogaRoots On Location offers multiple continuing education offerings through the fall and spring focused on Collective Liberation. Our workshops provide an immersive learning experience, through didactic, somatic, group, and individual activities. They will be transformative. ✨
Our workshops are approved by Yoga Alliance and will count as Continuing Education hours for Raja Yoga Teachers. Our workshops are also co-sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, a Council on Social Work Education accredited school and therefore approved by the Pennsylvania Board of Social Work Examiners to provide credit hours.
Spring 2025 – Collective Liberation Through Embodied Joy (virtual)
This interactive 4-part workshop series stems from Felicia Savage Friedman’s 30 years of practicing, leading, and organizing anti-oppression Raja Yoga. In this historical and present-day analysis, we unpack systems of patriarchy, capitalism, and racism.
Embodied Collective Joy is a vulnerable and intimate practice of reflecting, thinking, and acting from a place of unconditional love for yourself and others.
These 3-hour workshops invite us to pause and reflect on systemic and internalized oppression — both how they impact us and how we may be complicit within our sphere of influence. Through embodiment and joy, we’ll explore antidotes to oppression and paths to collective liberation.
Designed for Beings ready to integrate liberatory practice and community-building into their professional and personal lives, the series will give participants the tools to engage in sustainable contemplative and radical work and offer an immersive learning experience taught via didactic, somatic, group, and individual activities. It will be transformative.
You’re invited to join us for the entire series or individual workshops.
Each workshop provides 3 hrs of Continuing Education credit for Yogis, Social Workers, And Educators.
